The board of Dartmouth Health has welcomed a new member, while the boards for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics have added three new trustees. All of these new members started their terms this month after being elected in late 2024.
Here are the new members:
Dartmouth Health:
- Kathleen M. Fisher, MBA, who has over 40 years of experience in investment banking and asset management.
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics:
- Jason T. Garbarino, DNP, RN, GERO-BC, CNL, a dedicated nurse leader and educator.
- Laurel J. Richie, former president of the WNBA.
- Emily P. Zeitler, MD, MHS, FACC, FHRS, a cardiologist at DHMC.
Kathleen Fisher, the new member of the Dartmouth Health board, retired from Wall Street in 2020. She has held important roles, including chief investment officer and president at AllianceBernstein. Kathleen is also passionate about healthcare and has served on the board of Southwestern Vermont Health Care since 2015, including a term as chair.
Jason Garbarino brings a wealth of nursing knowledge to the Dartmouth Hitchcock boards. He has spent years in nursing education at the University of Vermont, where he played a key role in developing nursing programs. He currently leads efforts to create academic pathways for international nursing students and is involved with the Nursing is STEM Coalition, which aims to elevate nursing as a STEM profession.
Laurel Richie is known for her leadership experience. As president of the WNBA, she significantly improved the league’s profitability. Now, she serves on several corporate boards and advises on leadership and diversity. Her accomplishments have earned her numerous awards and recognition in the sports industry.
Emily Zeitler is a cardiac electrophysiologist at DHMC and focuses on outcomes related to heart health. She works with major regulatory bodies and medical organizations to improve healthcare policies. Zeitler has been with DHMC since 2018 and holds several academic positions, contributing to medical education and research.
