This year could be the only chance for Notre Dame fans to watch Hannah Hidalgo and Olivia Miles play together. Last season, an injury kept Miles off the court, but this season, they are making up for lost time.
Both players have been named to the midseason watch list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award. This award, started in 2018 by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), recognizes the best shooting guard in the nation.
The winner will be revealed during the Final Four, with the award presented at a luncheon shortly after. While last year’s winner, USC’s JuJu Watkins, is a strong contender again, Hidalgo and Miles are also in the running. They showcase their talent in exciting games, and fans have plenty to cheer for.
