Meet the South Florida Trailblazer: The Youngest Woman to Visit Every Country Globally!

Have you ever dreamed of exploring the world? Picture this: traveling to every country on your own, cruising around the globe in an electric car. Sounds incredible, right?

Meet Lexie Alford, a South Florida woman who has made that dream a reality while breaking two world records. Known as LexieLimitless on social media, she’s a passionate traveler with an inspiring story.

Lexie grew up in an adventurous family, thanks to her mom, who started a travel agency at just 19. By the age of 18, she had already visited around 70 countries! Feeling inspired, she set out to backpack the world, and just two months in, she decided to visit every country worldwide. That ambitious goal took her about 3.5 years to achieve.

She began her journey in 2016, capturing stunning moments and experiences along the way. For Lexie, the best part of travel is exploring places off the beaten path and connecting with locals. She loves hearing their stories and learning about different ways of life.

Throughout her travels, she shared her adventures on social media while chasing the title of the youngest person to visit every country. At 21, she achieved her first world record after visiting 197 countries.

“I wanted to see what I could accomplish and push my limits,” Lexie said about her journey.

Traveling by Electric Car

In September 2023, Lexie teamed up with Ford Motor Company for another challenge: to be the first person to travel around the world in an electric vehicle.

“I had never driven an electric car before, and I had many questions about charging,” she shared. Her adventure lasted 200 days, covering six continents and 27 countries, racking up nearly 19,000 miles.

Of course, spending so much time away from home wasn’t easy. Lexie missed birthdays and faced health challenges along the way. Stress affected her immune system, making her feel unwell at times, like when she got sick outside the Taj Mahal.

Driving solo added extra pressure, as she had to maintain a tight schedule. Missing a day meant reshuffling plans for the rest of her journey. Lexie was inspired by Aloha Wanderwell, the first woman to drive around the world in the 1920s, who also drove a Ford Model T. Her journey honored this pioneering explorer.

On March 26, 2024, at 25 years old, Lexie crossed the finish line in France, earning her second world record.

“It’s wild how tunnel vision can help you reach your goals. Crossing that finish line was emotional, especially with friends and family cheering me on,” she recalled.

Her achievements caught the attention of Miami’s Mayor, Francis Suarez, who honored her with a key to the city. Lexie’s incredible journey was documented in a series called ‘Charge Around the Globe,’ available on YouTube.
