Meghan Markle’s Lifestyle Show Critiqued as a ‘Mess’: What Went Wrong and Why Viewers Are Disappointed

Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show, “With Love, Meghan,” has faced harsh criticism. Royal biographer Angela Levin labeled it “a mess” after its debut on Netflix.

The series consists of eight episodes where Meghan shares home styling tips and favorite recipes. However, Levin expressed skepticism about Meghan’s ability to host such a show. “She doesn’t really know what she’s doing and doesn’t have the experience,” Levin said. She noted that the show feels disorganized from start to finish.

In the first episode, titled “Hello Honey!”, Meghan is seen harvesting honey and creating a “thoughtful guest basket” with her friend Daniel Martin. Critics like Levin were quick to point out that the cooking advice shared was basic and unoriginal. For instance, she mentioned that the show’s cooking tips seem unnecessary, such as the instruction on how to cook pasta, which many already know.

Despite the criticisms, the show aims to be relaxing and feel-good, featuring appearances from celebrity friends, including Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer. Each episode runs for about 33 minutes. “I’m going to share some little tips and tricks… and how you incorporate these practices every day,” Meghan states in the series.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex navigate their Netflix relationship, the success of this series could play a crucial role in their future endeavors with the platform. Whether viewers will tune in for Meghan’s brand of lifestyle advice remains to be seen.
