MiniPix Secures ₹2.4 Crore Pre-Seed Funding for Bharat-Focused Micro-Drama Revolution – Powered by PedalStart!

MiniPix is making waves in the digital entertainment scene in India. This Bengaluru-based platform focuses on short-form regional dramas, perfectly tailored for mobile users. Recently, it secured ₹2.4 crore in its first pre-seed funding round, led by startup accelerator PedalStart, along with contributions from Venture Catalysts and other notable investors like Sandip and Rajdip Gupta of Route Mobile.

The funding will help MiniPix create more quality regional content and build a strong team to execute its vision. Founded in June 2025, the platform understands the needs of Tier-2 and Tier-3 audiences, who crave stories that resonate with their culture.

In today’s fast-changing market, interest in interactive and short-form entertainment is booming. According to Redseer Strategy Consultants, this sector in India is expected to grow at an astounding rate of 50–70% each year. Factors like increasing smartphone usage, affordable data, and a rising appetite for regional storytelling drive this demand.

Despite stiff competition, MiniPix has gained traction quickly. Within six months, it recorded over 100,000 app downloads, more than 20,000 paying subscribers, and over 3 million views, which translates to around 35,000 hours of content streamed. This early success has led to an annual recurring revenue of over ₹3 crore, proving that their content strategy is working.

Brijesh Kashyap, co-founder and CEO, emphasized the importance of creating content that resonates with audiences: “This funding allows us to enhance our offerings and build a brand that truly reflects our viewers’ experiences.”

PedalStart, the lead investor, has played a supportive role during the fundraising process, advising the founders on pitches and strategies.

Looking ahead, MiniPix plans to utilize AI and automation to streamline content creation without losing quality. The platform aims to expand into five more regional languages and targets ₹6 crore in annual revenue by March 2026, with ambitious growth projections reaching ₹308 crore by Year 3.

As more viewers seek content that speaks to their identities, MiniPix seems well-positioned to carve out a distinctive space in the digital entertainment landscape of India.
