For over a month, a high school football coach in Virginia, Travis Turner, has been missing after leaving his home on November 20. His sudden disappearance has shocked the community and left his family, including his wife and children, searching for answers.
Turner, age 46, reportedly left with a firearm, disappearing into the dense woods nearby. When Virginia State Police attempted to visit him, he was already gone. Shortly thereafter, police announced that Turner was wanted on serious charges, including possession of child pornography and using a computer to solicit a minor.
His family last contacted him the day he left, and no charges were filed against him at that time. According to his attorney, Adrian Collins, they were not aware of any reason for him to flee, and his family has been cooperating with authorities throughout the search. The day following his disappearance, his wife reported him missing, but authorities advised waiting 24 hours before filing a report.

On December 1, the U.S. Marshals Service announced a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to Turner’s whereabouts.
