The 21-year-old student was discovered near the campus pickleball courts early Monday morning. While police state there is no apparent foul play, his family seeks clarity, hiring civil rights attorney Ben Crump to assist.
Campus police Chief Michael Peeler emphasized that there are no threats to anyone on campus. He described the incident as “isolated” but offered limited details during a press conference, urging patience from the community.
An autopsy is underway, with results expected soon. Peeler mentioned video evidence exists but withheld specifics, citing the ongoing investigation.
