MMA Legend’s Son Claims Innocence: Pleads Not Guilty to Serious Charges

Raja Jackson, the son of MMA icon Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, is facing serious legal trouble after an incident at a wrestling event in Los Angeles in August. He pleaded not guilty to felony battery and misdemeanor battery charges, which stem from an assault during the KnokX event. If convicted of the felony charge, he could face up to four years in prison—pending an increase proposed by the Los Angeles District Attorney, which could raise that to seven years.

The incident occurred when Raja was set to perform in a staged match. Instead, he violently slammed wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, and continued to strike him even after he was knocked out. Other wrestlers had to step in and hold him back.

Before the match, Raja hinted at a grudge, saying he wanted revenge for a prior scuffle where Smith hit him with a beer can to promote the event. Smith later reported multiple injuries, including a damaged jaw and lost teeth.

Raja was arrested in September but released on $50,000 bail. His father, Quinton, a known figure in the UFC and Pride Fighting Championships, has openly criticized Raja’s actions, expressing disappointment over the incident.
