Modon Holding Invests in Wellington Lifestyle Partners: A Game-Changer for Community Development

Modon Holding PSC, based in Abu Dhabi, is making waves with its recent investment in Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP). This partnership aims to elevate the Wellington International equestrian showgrounds into a premier ultra-luxury destination.

The project’s vision includes high-end residences, a boutique hotel, and a commercial marketplace, along with a championship golf course. This marks Modon’s first investment in an equestrian project in the U.S., expanding its global portfolio and reinforcing its commitment to luxury developments.

“This investment signals our ambition to collaborate with top-notch partners who share our vision for exceptional destination development,” said His Excellency Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, the chair of Modon Holding. He emphasized that the partnership brings together expertise in real estate, hospitality, and equestrian sports.

The investment fits into a broader plan that encompasses several key assets: the Wellington International showgrounds, a private residential club with 253 upscale homes set to open in 2028, and a lifestyle marketplace featuring shops and restaurants. These elements are part of a master plan aimed at making Wellington a global hub for equestrian sports and luxury living.

Interestingly, Modon’s collaboration doesn’t stop there. The agreement allows Modon to leverage the Wellington International brand, enhancing its presence in key markets and supporting future community developments. Modon will also act as a premier sponsor for notable events like the Winter Equestrian Festival.

“Our partnership aligns perfectly with Modon’s goal of developing integrated lifestyle destinations that blend community, sport, and hospitality,” remarked Bill O’Regan, Modon’s CEO. “Wellington International is recognized worldwide for its equestrian excellence, making this collaboration a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge in planning and design.”

Behind Wellington Lifestyle Partners are notable investors such as Mark Bellissimo and Lisa Lourie. Their combined expertise aims to set a new standard for equestrian lifestyle destinations. “With Modon’s substantial experience in destination development, we are poised to realize our vision,” said Bellissimo.

The interest in luxury equestrian living is growing. A recent survey by the National Association of Realtors found that properties near equestrian facilities have seen a price increase of 15% over the last five years, indicating a rising trend in luxury and lifestyle real estate connected to equestrian activities.
