Morningside University Launches Innovative Center for Entrepreneurial Development: Join the Exciting Everyday Entrepreneur Pitch Competition!

Sioux City, Iowa—The Morningside University Larry & Joan Arnold Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development is gearing up for the Everyday Entrepreneur Pitch Competition in November 2025. This event, backed by the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), aims to help students turn their business ideas into real ventures.

This competition is open to all Morningside students, including those enrolled concurrently in high school or other programs. It offers a chance for student entrepreneurs to sharpen their business models, practice their pitching skills, and receive vital mentorship and funding opportunities.

The top three participants will move on to the GPEC Student Entrepreneurship Summit in early spring 2026. This summit is a free event featuring workshops and speaker sessions for students from Iowa’s private colleges and community colleges. The Everyday Entrepreneur Program + Fund (EE) is funded by a grant from NACCE.
