MSNBC Shakeup: Major Staff Cuts Impacting Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid’s Teams

Rachel Maddow, a prominent anchor at MSNBC, is facing significant changes at the network. Recently, many staff members from her show and others, like Joy Reid’s, have been told they will be laid off. While Maddow will keep her executive producer, Cory Gnazzo, much of her team will unfortunately be let go. They can choose to apply for over 100 new positions that MSNBC is opening due to this restructuring. In a similar situation, Joy Reid’s show, The Reidout, is also being canceled. During a meeting, new president Rebecca Kutler confirmed the layoffs would impact her crew, which has a deadline of April 21 to transition before the new program lineup starts.
