Procedures that used to be for older individuals, like arthroscopies and even joint replacements, are now being performed on patients in their late 30s. This shift doesn’t just relate to aging but is mainly due to lifestyle choices and poor body mechanics.

According to recent studies, urban adults over 45 face a high risk of knee osteoarthritis. Women, particularly after menopause, are more affected due to hormone-related bone health issues.

Despite these challenges, there’s good news: many of these conditions can be avoided. Simple lifestyle changes can greatly help. Regular physical activity, like walking or yoga, for 30 to 45 minutes a day makes a difference. Maintaining a healthy weight and ensuring good posture also play significant roles. It’s key to consult with professionals when engaging in sports or workouts to prevent injuries. Ignoring persistent pain can lead to long-term damage, so early intervention is crucial.
