Journalist turned producer Pritish Nandy handed away on January 8 in Mumbai. This information was confirmed by his shut buddy Anupam Kher. The actor had shared his footage on social media and expressed grief in an extended word which he penned for him. Kher wrote, “Deeply deeply saddened and shocked to know about the demise of one of my dearest and closest friends #PritishNandy! Amazing poet, writer, filmmaker and a brave and unique editor/journalist! He was my support system and a great source of Strength in my initial days in Mumbai. He was also one of the most fearless people I had come across.
He further added how heartbroken he is and said, “I discovered so many issues from him. Off-late we did not meet a lot. But there was a time after we had been inseparable! He was the true definition of Yaaron Ka Yaar! Will miss you and our instances collectively my buddy 💔💔💔#HeartBroken.
However, Neena Gupta’s comment on Kher’s post sparked a controversy. However, her comment is both hidden or deleted now. She had written, “Do you know, what he did to me, and I called him a bastard openly. He stole my baby’s birth certificate and published it. So no RIP, you understand, and I have proof of it.”
For these not in the know, Pritish Nandy had stolen Masaba Gupta’s certificates to disclose her true identification and who her father was. Since then, Masaba was known as a love-youngster as she was born out of wedlock when Neena was relationship cricketer Viv Richards.
