Tree Planting: A Must for Our Future

Quetta, April 20: Tree planting is gaining urgent attention as climate change becomes a serious issue. Syed Ali Raza Shah, Director General of NEPA, emphasized its importance during a recent planting event. He stated that increasing green areas is vital for both the environment and our health.

At the ceremony in Quetta, Dr. Atiq-ur-Rehman and NEPA staff joined officers from the 46th Course to plant saplings. Shah pointed out that trees do much more than just look good. They help reduce pollution and contribute to overall well-being. He stressed that environmental protection depends on everyone’s effort.

He encouraged individuals to contribute by planting at least one tree, saying it’s a simple yet powerful way to help create a healthier environment. Shah also mentioned that NEPA is ramping up its initiatives to promote more planting events across the country.

Involving officers from the 46th Course is particularly meaningful. Their participation not only highlights their role in environmental conservation but symbolizes unity among different provinces. In years to come, these young officers will watch the trees they planted thrive, serving as a reminder of their commitment to caring for our planet.

Recent studies show that urban green spaces can lower temperatures by as much as 5 degrees Celsius, making neighborhoods more livable. Moreover, a survey by the World Economic Forum revealed that 87% of people believe environmental conservation is a shared responsibility.

The message is clear: planting trees is vital for our future health, climate, and community. With collective action, we can nurture a greener world together. For more on environmental initiatives, visit NEPA’s official site.
