WHAT IS PIT BOOST? 🔥

PIT BOOST is an exciting feature introduced by ABB FIA Formula E. This allows cars to gain a 10% energy boost (3.85kWh) with a quick 600kW recharge in just 30 seconds. 📊 Teams must use this boost strategically during races.

The recharge happens in a specific time frame, and teams choose when to take their stop. Only one car per team can charge at a time, involving two crew members for the recharge and one to manage the stop. ⏱️🏁

IMPACT ON RACE STRATEGY 🏎️

PIT BOOST adds a layer of excitement and strategy to each E-Prix. With this element being mandatory, teams must figure out the best time to recharge without losing their position on the track. This new charging method is much faster than the current 80kW/h chargers, making pit stops critical moments during the race. ⚙️🔌
