Nominate Your Favorites: The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame Seeks 2025 Inductees – Get Involved Now!

Exciting news for food lovers! The Division of Arkansas Heritage is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. This marks the program’s ninth year, celebrating the amazing food spots that showcase the state’s rich culinary culture.

You can submit your nominations online at ArkFoodHOF.com. It’s a great chance to honor the restaurants and events that highlight Arkansas’ flavors and traditions.

“We’re thrilled to continue this tradition,” said Shea Lewis, the secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. “These nominations highlight the dining experiences that shape our state and let everyone enjoy Arkansas’ unique tastes and warm hospitality.”

Nominations are open until February 28, 2025. Categories cover a wide range, including:

• Arkansas Food Hall of Fame: Long-standing restaurants that help define our food culture.
• Proprietor of the Year: A chef or restaurant owner who significantly impacts local food preferences.
• Food-Themed Event: Festivals or events that celebrate a community’s food heritage.
• Gone But Not Forgotten: Past restaurants that have influenced our current food scene.
• People’s Choice: Favorite restaurants or food trucks, whether they’re new or have been around for years.

As Marty Ryall, director of the Division of Arkansas Heritage, stated, “Food brings us together. We invite everyone to join us in recognizing these amazing establishments.”

A dedicated committee, including historians, chefs, and food writers, will help select the winners. This team is made up of passionate Arkansans who understand the importance of our culinary landscape.

Finalists will be announced in the summer of 2025, with the honorees celebrated at a special event in September. Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate the flavors of Arkansas!
