Kansas City recently buzzed with excitement as the NABC revealed its 2026 Men’s Basketball All-District Players and Coaches of the Year. Three remarkable athletes from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) made headlines: guard Dallas Graziani, forward Ross Reeves, and head coach Jim Crutchfield.
This season has been nothing short of historic for the NSU Sharks. Graziani and Reeves both earned spots on the NABC All-South District First Team, showcasing their talent and dedication. Coach Crutchfield was honored as the NABC’s South District Coach of the Year for his impressive leadership.
Graziani shines as a key player. He’s a two-time national champion and holds an amazing record—he’s never lost a postseason game at NSU. Not only has he been named South Region Player of the Year, but he’s also snagged the titles of SSC Player of the Year and SSC Defensive Player of the Year. His achievements keep piling up as he adds to his remarkable career.
Reeves stands out as an essential part of the team’s offense. With 715 points this season, he ranks fourth in NSU’s history for points in a single season, heading into the Elite Eight national tournament.
Both players are on the path to potentially becoming NABC All-Americans, with announcements expected soon.
Coach Crutchfield’s season has been memorable, too. His name is now immortalized on the Rick Case Arena floor. He’s guiding the Sharks into their 11th Elite Eight appearance, looking for his third national championship. Under his leadership, NSU boasts a staggering 105-game home winning streak, the longest in NCAA Division II history, just shy of Kentucky’s historic 129 straight home wins from the 1940s and ’50s.
While Graziani and Reeves are making names for themselves, it’s worth considering how their achievements reflect a broader trend in college basketball—smart scouting, talent development, and a strong home-court advantage are critical now more than ever. The Sharks’ performance speaks to the power of teamwork and excellent coaching in achieving success.
As the Sharks prepare for their next game in Pittsburgh, fans can stay tuned on social media and via the NSU website for all the latest updates.
