MIAMI (AP) — Last night, Denver’s Nikola Jokic was on fire. He had an impressive 21 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in the first half. His play included some stunning behind-the-back passes that left everyone in awe. But then, drama struck just before halftime.
Jokic limped off the court after hurting his left knee, and the team is now waiting to see how serious the injury is. Coach David Adelman expressed concern, saying, “Anyone who gets hurt in this game, especially someone like him, it’s gut-wrenching.” The Nuggets lost 147-123 to Miami, but right now, their focus is on Jokic’s health.

Out of concern, the medical team evaluated him, and the Nuggets were scheduled to fly to Toronto for their next game. Coach Adelman emphasized the need to proceed carefully with Jokic, who is clearly a unique talent.
