Oklahoma State University’s women’s golf team is making waves this spring. Recently, they secured the No. 22 spot in the NCAA Division I rankings, marking their second consecutive week in the top 25. They stand as the third-highest-ranked team in the Big 12, following UCF at No. 15 and Arizona State at No. 20.
The Cowgirls recently wrapped up their regular season with a strong performance at the Huntington Bank Collegiate. They not only won the team title but also saw Marta Silchenko earn her first individual championship. Silchenko is now the top-ranked golfer from Oklahoma State, positioned at No. 30. This season, she has an impressive record of 528 wins against 78 losses, finishing in the top 10 in her last four tournaments.
Joining Silchenko in the rankings are Ellie Bushnell (143), Grace Kilcrease (173), and Yu-Chu Chen (181), making it four Cowgirls in the top 200. Tarapath Panya (284), Summer Lee (318), and Lucy Darr (320) complete the roster of seven ranked individuals from Oklahoma State.
As they gear up for the Big 12 Championship on April 23, the Cowgirls aim to capture their 26th conference title. Historically, the program has been strong, with 25 conference championships and 31 NCAA Championship appearances, not to mention 44 athletes earning All-American honors.
