Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently praised Operation Sindoor, which was India’s strong response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He highlighted that this operation exemplifies the spirit of “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” showcasing the courage of the Indian armed forces and the nation’s commitment to its defense.
Adityanath credited the success of Operation Sindoor to the “Make In India” initiative, started by Prime Minister Modi a decade ago. This initiative has helped boost India’s self-reliance in defense production. He emphasized that India’s new defense policy has allowed the military to effectively neutralize threats.
In his remarks, he stated, “This operation shows the world the power of ‘Made in India.’ Operation Sindoor sends a clear message about our military strength.” He pointed out that the operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 militants, illustrating India’s capability to respond to aggression decisively.
During Modi’s visit to Kanpur, he launched several development projects, including the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, which is set to cost over ₹2,120 crore. This project will feature 14 stations, enhancing connectivity in the city. Other significant initiatives included the foundation for new substations to meet rising energy demands and infrastructure improvements to support industrial growth in the area.
Recent trends indicate that public support for enhancing national defense is at an all-time high. According to a survey by the Pew Research Center, 75% of Indians express a growing confidence in their military. Social media has also seen a surge in discussions about national security, with hashtags like #OperationSindoor trending on platforms like Twitter, reflecting people’s pride in the country’s military actions.
Adityanath’s words resonate with the sentiments of many Indians. With ongoing efforts to strengthen the armed forces and develop infrastructure, the nation aims to secure a robust future.
