In the latest Formula 1 session in Bahrain, teams approached the track with varying strategies. While most opted for soft or hard tires, Alpine made a bold choice with medium tires. However, it was Oscar Piastri from McLaren who stole the show. He clocked an impressive lap time of 1m 33.324s, leading the pack by four-tenths of a second over his teammate, Lando Norris. Fernando Alonso from Aston Martin rounded out the top three spots.

Max Verstappen faced some challenges during the session. He had to back off his flying lap after going off track and returned to the pits for adjustments to his Red Bull car. Meanwhile, George Russell joined the action later, seemingly waiting for the cooler conditions to arrive.

There were a few hiccups on the track, too. Nico Hulkenberg had to stop his Sauber at Turn 8 due to an anti-stall issue, which caused yellow flags to pop up briefly. Once the session resumed, Verstappen managed to improve his position to second, despite another minor slip.

Charles Leclerc encountered an unexpected problem when one of his Ferrari’s wing mirrors detached mid-ride. Liam Lawson shared his frustration when Russell overtook him, calling the move “so annoying.” Russell, in turn, faced his own issues, spinning at Turn 10 and later commenting that the grip on the track was the worst he had ever felt in an F1 car.
