After all, it wouldn’t make sense for the Cowboys to trade their star linebacker now if they believe he could fetch two first-round draft picks later. Future picks won’t have much value if traded in 2025.
If the deal included a player the Cowboys really want, they might reconsider. Simply trading for draft picks doesn’t offer immediate help.
