A crucial timeout by the Wings turned things around; they went on a 13-point streak, closing the gap to 44-37 by halftime.
At halftime, Bueckers led her team with 16 points on 75% shooting, while Jackson had 17 points for the Sparks.
The third quarter saw the Wings charge back, scoring 29 points and limiting the Sparks to just 15. Bueckers shone brightly, pouring in 15 points during that quarter, and the Wings took a 66-59 lead heading into the fourth.
The Sparks opened the final quarter with a decisive 10-0 run, but Bueckers halted their momentum with a key three-pointer. She single-handedly scored all 14 of the Wings’ points in the fourth, but Plum’s last-second shot sealed Dallas’ fate.
As the teams look ahead, the Wings will face the Seattle Storm, while the Sparks prepare to play the Phoenix Mercury at home next week.
