GAME 1: GEORGE MASON 1, NIAGARA 3
In the opening match, senior pitcher Jordan Anderson took the mound for George Mason. She gave a solid performance, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing only one run with three hits.
The game started slowly, with neither team scoring in the first two and a half innings. George Mason got on the board in the third when Elyssa DeRosa hit a triple, followed by Madi Sobota’s single that brought DeRosa home, making it 1-0.
However, Niagara equalized in the sixth inning after an error by the center fielder allowed a run to score. Jordan Tallman came in to pitch but faced challenges in the seventh. Niagara surged ahead, scoring two more runs to end the game 3-1.
GAME 2: GEORGE MASON 12, NIAGARA 4
In their second game, sophomore Haleigh Dellow started for the Patriots. Though she allowed four runs in 1.2 innings, the team’s offense responded well.
Niagara scored first, making it 1-0 in the top of the first. But George Mason fought back in the bottom of the inning, scoring four runs thanks to a mix of hits and errors, giving them a 4-1 lead.
The second inning saw Niagara tie the game at 4-4 with a strong offensive effort. But George Mason took control in the bottom half of the inning, scoring seven runs from six hits. Key plays included Kaitlyn Bronowicz’s double and Kaylee Stinnett’s two-run homer.
The Patriots added one more run in the fourth inning, finishing the game with a decisive 12-4 victory.

The Patriots are set to travel to Orlando, Florida, next weekend for the Charge on Classic, hosted by the University of Central Florida. They’ll compete in five games against Georgia Southern, UCF, and Providence College.
