Bourne and Juszczyk go way back, having both joined the 49ers in 2017. They played together for four years, culminating in a memorable run to Super Bowl LIV. Juszczyk was a crucial player on those exciting teams, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2023, reflecting his high performance and skill.
While it’s not certain whether the Patriots are considering Juszczyk or if he’d be interested in joining them, he does have a connection to the area. He played his college football at Harvard, which might make the transition easier for him.
In recent NFL statistics, fullbacks are making a comeback as teams realize their value in offensive strategies. According to a survey by the NFL Coaches Association, many coaches see fullbacks as essential for creating balance in both running and passing plays. Bringing someone like Juszczyk on board could not only help Maye but also revitalize the Patriots’ offense.
