Paul Simon is back on the road! After he announced his retirement from touring in 2018 due to hearing loss, fans were surprised by his recent announcements. He will embark on a new tour called A Quiet Celebration Tour to support his latest album, Seven Psalms, released in May 2023.
This tour will feature small, cozy venues. Simon chose this approach to make it easier for him to enjoy the music despite his hearing challenges. He cleverly designed his stage setup with moving monitors to help him hear better during the performances.
A variety of songs will be included in the setlist, showcasing both Seven Psalms tracks and his classic hits. The tour kicks off on April 4 at Saenger Theater in New Orleans and will stop at many major cities like Austin, Denver, Nashville, and Chicago. The final show is set to take place on August 3 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
Tickets for the shows go on sale on February 21, so fans should get ready! This tour marks an exciting return for Simon, who has made a significant impact on music over the decades. We can’t wait to see him celebrate his timeless songs once more!
