Vladar, 27, played for the Calgary Flames last season, ending with a record of 12 wins, 11 losses, and 6 overtime losses in 30 games. He also achieved two shutouts, with a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.80 and a save percentage of .898.
Originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2015, Vladar has been in the NHL for parts of five seasons. His early career included a rookie season with the Bruins (2020-21) followed by four years in Calgary. Over his NHL journey, he has posted 49 wins against 34 losses and has played in 105 games, including two playoff outings.
Before stepping into the NHL, Vladar spent five seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Providence Bruins. There, he built a solid record of 36 wins, 26 losses, and 13 overtime losses, boasting a GAA of 2.33 and a save percentage of .917. His standout year was the 2019-20 season, where he recorded the best GAA in the AHL at 1.79 and a .936 save percentage.
Hailing from Prague, Czechia, Vladar has also represented his country on several occasions. He recently competed at the 2025 World Championship, where he helped his team secure a sixth-place finish. In three games, he showcased his skills with a GAA of 1.09 and a save percentage of .951.
