On November 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the successful launch of India’s heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03, by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He shared his excitement on social media, highlighting the nation’s pride in its space achievements.

Modi praised ISRO, stating, “Our space sector continues to make us proud! The hard work of our scientists has made this launch a significant milestone.” He emphasized that this progress has not only enhanced national capabilities but also positively impacted the lives of citizens.

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan also congratulated ISRO and the Indian Navy, noting the LVM3-M5 rocket’s successful lift-off. He recognized the satellite’s role in strengthening communication and maritime awareness in the Indian Ocean Region, contributing to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, or self-reliant India. He commended the dedication of Indian scientists and engineers, celebrating their ongoing accomplishments in space exploration.

Experts are calling the launch a “monumental achievement.” Lt. Gen. AK Bhatt (Retd.), Director General of the Indian Space Association, remarked that the CMS-03 satellite demonstrates India’s growing capabilities in launching heavy satellites. He emphasized that this launch is crucial for national and maritime security, providing secure communication in strategic areas.

The LVM3-M5, affectionately known as the ‘Bahubali’ rocket, successfully delivered the CMS-03 satellite into orbit, marking a significant step in India’s ambitions for advanced space technologies. This achievement not only affirms India’s growing prowess in space but also echoes a broader trend of countries investing heavily in space exploration and satellite technology. A report from the Space Foundation revealed that the global space economy is set to grow to over $1 trillion by 2040, highlighting the increasing importance of space for national security and economic growth.

As social media buzzes with reactions to this launch, many users express pride and excitement about India’s space journey, thanking ISRO for its innovations that benefit everyday life. This successful launch truly signals a promising future for India’s space initiatives.
