PM Modi Launches 3 New Vande Bharat Trains in Bengaluru: Belagavi Welcomes Its Second Semi-High-Speed Train!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched three new Vande Bharat trains in India. This marks a significant milestone as there are now 75 Vande Bharat trains operating nationwide.

Modi inaugurated these trains at the KSR Bengaluru station. One connects Bengaluru to Belagavi, a city known for its strong educational and medical institutions. This is the second Vande Bharat train for Belagavi, and there’s already a lot of buzz around it.

Ashutosh Kumar Singh, the Divisional Railway Manager in Bengaluru, emphasized the demand for this service. “This is our eleventh Vande Bharat train for Karnataka,” he shared, noting that surveys showed strong local support for the service.

The new Bengaluru-Belagavi train features eight cars and can seat 530 passengers. It’s the fastest option on this route, completing the journey of 611 km in just 8.5 hours, saving over an hour compared to other trains. This increased speed is not just about convenience; it connects areas of economic growth, allowing more people access to opportunities.

The train travels through vibrant regions, including Dharwad, known for education, and Hubballi, a key commercial hub. With the railway service, locals can expect more job opportunities and easier access to markets.

The other two launched trains connect Nagpur with Pune and Katra with Amritsar. The Ajni-Pune train will cover several districts including Amravati and Nashik, while the Katra-Amritsar route will enhance connectivity through Jammu.

Interestingly, since Vande Bharat trains started operations in February 2019, over 6.3 crore passengers have traveled on them. This success points to a growing interest in fast and efficient rail travel.

Looking ahead, the Railways ministry plans to add another 200 Vande Bharat trains over the next three years, aiming to further enhance travel options across India.

Overall, these new additions not only symbolize progress in transportation but also reflect India’s commitment to economic growth and connectivity, making travel easier for everyone.
