The Holy See Press Office shared an update on Pope Francis’ health on Friday morning, saying he had a good night. He woke up shortly after 8:00 AM, ready to continue his recovery.
Pope Francis is sticking to his therapy, which includes motor physiotherapy. He uses a mix of mechanical ventilation at night and high-flow oxygen during the day through nasal cannulae. His health status is stable, although he is facing some challenges.
On Thursday, the situation remained steady, with no signs of respiratory issues. The Press Office mentioned that they will release another health bulletin on Saturday, but they plan to share brief updates in the meantime.
Throughout Thursday, the Pope engaged in his respiratory and motor physiotherapy, which has shown positive results. He did not run a fever and balanced his time between rest and work.
Before the nightly Rosary session in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis sent out an audio message. In it, he thanked everyone for their prayers and support. He also shared a blessing with the faithful and reminded them that he is with them during his recovery from the hospital.
The Vatican Press Office Director, Matteo Bruni, mentioned that it was Pope Francis’ idea to share this message at the start of the Rosary, as a way to express his gratitude for the support he feels from people all around the world.
