Pope Francis Enjoys Restful Sleep Amidst Health Recovery – Latest Updates from Vatican News

Pope Francis had a restful night and is continuing to recover this Thursday morning. His health has shown some signs of improvement recently.

The Holy See Press Office shared that the Pope slept well and spent the morning resting. They noted, “The Pope is now resting after a good night’s sleep.” After breakfast, he continued his treatment while relaxing in his armchair. He is aware of the many people praying for him and is staying positive.

Unfortunately, the Jubilee Audience planned for Saturday, March 1, has been cancelled.

On Wednesday evening, the Press Office reported that the Pope’s health had improved slightly over the past day. They mentioned that the mild kidney issues he experienced earlier have lessened. A chest CT scan showed that his lung inflammation is progressing normally, and blood tests confirmed these positive signs.

While Pope Francis is still using high-flow oxygen, he has not had any respiratory crises similar to asthma. The Holy See Press Office has stated that his prognosis is still “guarded.”

The Pope was admitted to Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 due to bronchitis, and doctors later diagnosed him with bilateral pneumonia.
