Pope’s Health Update: Positive Therapy Response and Gradual Improvement Reported on March 8 – ZENIT English

(Zenit News / Rome, 03.08.2025) On Saturday, March 8, the Holy See Press Office shared an update about the Holy Father’s health. They reported that his condition has been stable over the past few days, showing a positive response to treatment with some signs of improvement.

The Holy Father has not experienced fever and his gas exchange is getting better. Blood tests indicate that his levels are stable.

Even with these encouraging signs, doctors are remaining cautious and have not changed their prognosis just yet. They want to ensure these improvements continue.

This morning, after receiving the Eucharist, the Holy Father took time to pray in his private chapel. He spent the afternoon balancing rest with some work activities.

The Vatican Press Office also mentioned that the Pope will use high-flow oxygen during the day and switch to non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night. He will participate in the Spiritual Exercises starting tomorrow, spiritually connecting with the Roman Curia. The text for the Pope’s Angelus will be shared as it has on recent Sundays. There may not be a medical update tomorrow since his condition is stable, but the Vatican will keep journalists informed.
