What’s expected?
Heavy snowfall is anticipated this weekend, with totals ranging from 25 to 35 cm. Some areas, especially the Niagara Escarpment and Dundalk Highlands, might see even more. Snowfall rates could be intense, with 3 to 6 cm possible per hour.
When will it hit?
Snow is expected to start this afternoon and continue until Sunday evening, with Sunday being the worst day for snowfall.

A strong low-pressure system is set to bring severe winter conditions. Snow will begin this afternoon, accumulating up to 10 cm by tonight. There’s also a possibility of lighter snow and freezing drizzle, especially near the Golden Horseshoe.
Conditions will worsen significantly on Sunday morning as heavier snow and strong winds move in, potentially adding another 15 to 25 cm of snow. Travel is expected to be risky, especially on Sunday when visibility may drop to near zero at times due to blowing snow.
