Snow is on its way! In some areas, we could see up to 35 cm of snow by Monday. After a brief break, more snow might return on Tuesday.

Weather Alert:
Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for:
- Barrie – Orillia – Midland, Ont.
- Owen Sound – Blue Mountains – Northern Grey County, Ont.
Starting late Sunday morning, we can expect snow squalls. These squalls may bring:
- Snowfall totals between 15 to 35 cm.
- Heavy snow at rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour.
- Visibility could drop to near zero.
The snow squalls are forecasted to occur as cool air moves over the Great Lakes, bringing westerly winds. There might be some uncertainty about when the squalls will ease on Monday, but they could return on Tuesday.
Keep in mind, snow squalls can create quickly changing conditions. It’s common to go from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometers. This can make travel dangerous, as roads and walkways may become hard to navigate with accumulated snow.
