In 2025, Presidents Day falls on February 17. Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect on this holiday.
The Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange will be closed, so trading will not take place.
Most banks will also be closed since it’s a federal banking holiday. However, TD Bank will remain open.
If you need banking services, online banking and ATMs will still be available.
Many big retailers like Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Costco will be open, but it’s best to check with local shops and restaurants about their hours.
Since it’s a federal holiday, nonessential government offices will be closed. This includes places like DMVs, city halls, and many libraries.
The USPS will not deliver any mail on Presidents Day. However, UPS will run its services as usual, while FedEx will operate with limited services.
