It’s always a good time for a glass of wine, right?
Meghan Markle might find some competition in the wine world. Prince Harry’s cousins, Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer, are launching their own rosé, Lala V, this summer. With roots in royal heritage, these two are eager to make their mark in the beverage industry.
The sisters, who are nieces of the late Princess Diana, shared their excitement about the brand. “We’ve been working on a rosé called Lala V — it’s a nod to Eliza’s childhood nickname and the French word for life, ‘vie,’” Lady Amelia told the Daily Mail.
The name carries a special meaning for them. “Our brand represents joie de vivre—a joyful exuberance for life. We can’t wait to go on this journey together,” Amelia added.
Meghan Markle has hinted at her own wine venture, which could add an exciting twist to her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Fans might recall that she named her previous blog, The Tig, after her favorite Italian wine, Tignanello. On her recent Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” she was also seen enjoying rosé, a drink she reportedly savored on her first date with Harry back in 2016.
When Meghan finally launches her wine, she’ll join a star-studded list of celebrities with successful wine labels, including George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker. Adding more buzz to the scene, recent data shows that celebrity wine brands have gained significant popularity, with sales increasing by 30% over the last five years. This trend has sparked interest not just among fans but also within the broader beverage industry.
Before diving into wines, Meghan has plans to release jams and preserves, which she teased last year by sending jars to her celebrity friends. Her product lineup will also include wildflower honey, herbal teas, and even gourmet shortbread cookies, all designed to bring a taste of her personal flair to the market.
As the wine competition heats up, fans are keen to see how both brands evolve. The royal connections have certainly captured attention, creating a blend of lifestyle, luxury, and a touch of royal legacy in the world of wine. Whether it’s Lala V or Meghan’s future products, there’s no doubt that this will be an interesting chapter in the lives of these royal women.
