Princeton’s golf team recently participated in the Hamptons Intercollegiate, finishing in a tie for fifth place with a total score of 876 (+12). The top spot went to Georgia at 857 (-7), followed closely by Wake Forest, Ole Miss, and Stanford in the top five.
Three Tigers stood out in the competition, with Eric Yun leading in 18th place at 218 (+2). Teammates Eric Zhao and Reed Greyserman finished tied for 20th at 219 (+3). Charlie Palmer wasn’t far behind, securing 24th place with a score of 220 (+4).
The team excelled on the back nine, recording a total score of -20. However, the front nine proved challenging, as the players posted a combined +39. This pattern was consistent across the entire field, with most players struggling on the first half of the course.
Greyserman shone on the par-5s, finishing the tournament at -8 on those holes, with seven birdies and one eagle. Zhao also made headlines with two eagles, tying for the most among all players.
