In just the first half, Wong netted both goals, showing her growth as a player. The first came from a well-coordinated play on the left side. With strong contributions from teammates, she finished the job, putting Princeton on the board. Just ten minutes later, Wong took advantage of a Brown misplay, skillfully maneuvering the ball past the goalkeeper to extend the lead.
This win is meaningful. Princeton is aiming to secure back-to-back Ivy League titles, a feat no team has accomplished yet in the tournament’s short history. Looking at the stats, Brown managed to outshoot Princeton 15-14 overall, but the Tigers had a clearer edge, with 6-3 in shots on goal. Goalkeepers Sydney Romano and Cecilia Cerone split duties, with Romano keeping a clean sheet for the first half while Cerone secured it for the second.
