Agencies like the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and the Department of Natural Resources are falling short of their goals. Their main mission is to protect the people and the environment of Wisconsin, but that’s becoming increasingly difficult. Cuts in funding and staff, along with corporate influence, are pushing these agencies to prioritize business interests over community well-being.

This isn’t just a problem in Wisconsin. It’s happening across the country, even affecting the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. People are worried that essential rights and protections might be sacrificed to serve corporate greed.
We need to stand together to defend our environment and support those who are most vulnerable. It’s time for leaders at all levels to put our health and future before profits. If they can’t do that, we should seek new leaders who will.
