Qatar recently took part in the Korea-Arab Food Security Forum held in Seoul, organized by the Korea-Arab Friendship Association. Additionally, Dr. al-Marri engaged with the Secretary-General of the Korean-Arab Friendship Association to explore potential cooperation between Qatar and Korea. They reviewed a memorandum of understanding from 2019 aimed at enhancing smart farming and agricultural research efforts. Meetings with representatives from Korean universities and agricultural companies further underscored the potential for leveraging advanced technologies in smart agriculture to benefit both regions.
