QuantiPath Expands Team with New Hire

QuantiPath, a biotechnology company specializing in rapid pathogen detection and food safety diagnostics, has appointed Tyler Stephens to its team of food safety experts.

Stephens brings over 20 years of experience in food microbiology, molecular diagnostics, applied food safety research, technical sales, customer support, and regulatory affairs. His previous roles include positions at SK8 Biotechnologies, Hygiena, Roka Bioscience, Micro Enviro Tech, Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development’s Food Processing Development Centre, and Texas Tech University.

His career has encompassed both scientific and commercial aspects of food safety. He has supported molecular testing platforms, conducted validation studies across food matrices, managed application and technical support teams, developed training programs, and aided customers in implementing testing technologies in production and laboratory settings.

John LoPorto, CEO of QuantiPath, stated, “Tyler brings a valuable combination of scientific expertise, applied food safety experience, and customer-facing technical knowledge. His background aligns directly with QuantiPath’s mission to bring faster, more actionable pathogen insights to the food industry.”

Stephens expressed enthusiasm about joining the team, saying, “QuantiPath is focused on giving the food industry better data, faster. I’m excited to join a team that is advancing pathogen testing beyond simple presence or absence.”

The addition of Stephens enhances QuantiPath’s technical and commercial capabilities as the company aims to strengthen its presence in food production, poultry, livestock, laboratory, and broader food safety markets.
