Rachel Brosnahan Shines in ‘Presumed Innocent’ Season 2: What to Expect on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is gearing up for an exciting new season of its legal thriller, Presumed Innocent. This season will feature Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan, famous for her role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Not only will she star, but she’ll also take on the role of executive producer.

The first season of Presumed Innocent showcased Jake Gyllenhaal as a prosecutor entangled in a murder investigation involving a colleague. In a twist, Apple TV+ has chosen to reinvent the series into an anthology format, moving away from Gyllenhaal’s character. He will remain as an executive producer for the new season.

The next chapter draws inspiration from Dissection of a Murder, a novel by Jo Murray, set to be released in July 2026. While specific plot details are under wraps, the book centers around a young lawyer defending someone accused of killing a respected judge.

The series continues to be produced by Bad Robot and David E. Kelley Productions, along with Warner Bros. TV. Kelley and Erica Lipez, known for The Morning Show, will co-run the second season. They’ll work alongside Abrams and Brosnahan, ensuring a strong lineup of talent.

Rachel Brosnahan has made quite a mark in the industry. She earned five Emmy nominations for her work in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, winning the award for best lead actress in a comedy in 2018. Recently, she’s also been cast as Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman directed by James Gunn.

This season of Presumed Innocent promises to bring fresh storylines while maintaining the gripping legal drama that fans love. As the landscape of storytelling evolves, anthologies allow for new perspectives and characters, keeping things exciting for viewers.
