Passaic, NJ – August 23, 2025: The Rana Samaj of USA held a lively flag-raising ceremony to mark India’s 79th Independence Day at Passaic City Hall. Over 150 community members joined local officials, including Mayor Hector Lora and Councilman Jose Garcia, for the celebration, showcasing pride in their heritage and new home.
The event kicked off with a peaceful Shanti Path performed by girls from the Swaminarayan Temple. President Bharat Rana welcomed everyone with gratitude, highlighting the dedication of his team, including Vice Presidents Kalpesh Rana and Dharmesh Rana. Patriotic speeches reflected on the importance of India’s independence, paving the way for the official flag-raising ceremony.
