BENGALURU: Rangsons Aerospace (RAPL) from Mysuru is teaming up with global company Oversat. They are set to unveil their partnership at Aero India 2025. Together, they aim to enhance satellite communication technologies.

This collaboration will focus on creating advanced Luneberg lens-based multibeam antennas. These antennas allow for tracking several Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites at the same time. This is a big deal, as Luneberg lens technology enables multiple beams to transmit or receive signals in different directions simultaneously.
As companies like SpaceX, OneWeb, and Amazon expand their LEO satellite networks, the demand for ground infrastructure is growing. Traditional systems are struggling to keep up, leading to a bottleneck. By working with Oversat, Rangsons hopes to address these gaps. “With innovations like multi-beam antenna technology, we are shaping the future of Satcom—making it more efficient and accessible for various uses, whether on land, sea, or air,” said Pavan Ranga, the managing director of Rangsons Aerospace.
This new technology promises to solve connectivity issues in maritime, land mobile, and aerospace sectors. Unlike current single-satellite tracking systems, these multibeam antennas will provide real-time connections across multiple satellites. This enhancement could significantly boost communication in defense, aviation, and commercial areas.
At Aero India 2025, Rangsons will present a variety of technologies, which will include advanced avionics and electronic warfare systems. Their exhibit will showcase high-speed data links and specialized satellite communication solutions for moving vehicles.
