General Information:

• Your full name
• Your address (city, state, zip code)
• Your phone number
• An alternate phone number (if available)

Obituary Details:

• Name of the deceased
• Text for the obituary
• A photo (JPEG or PDF preferred; we accept other formats too)
• Desired ad run dates
• Running the ad for multiple days can get you a discount, but schedule this when you first submit
• If you use a photo, it should run on all days to get a discount

Verification:

We need a name and phone number of the funeral home or cremation society to verify the death. This may require calling them during business hours. If the body was donated to a program, their contact info is also needed. Please allow enough time to reach them, especially on weekends. A death certificate can also work for this.

Guestbook and Online Links:

We can’t reference other guestbooks or websites in the obituary. However, we can include a link to the funeral home’s site or a family email address for contact. Reach out for details.

Submission Process:

After you send in your submission, we’ll send you a proof for review before it goes to print. This proof includes the scheduled publication dates and costs.
Make sure to review it closely. If there are any mistakes, let us know before your notice goes live to ensure accuracy.

Online Obituaries:

If you need to make changes to the online obituary, contact our obituary desk for assistance.

Payment Information:

We require payment before your obituary is published. Call 651-228-5263 with your payment details after you approve the proof.

Credit Card: Accepted by phone only.

EFT: You can provide your routing and account number over the phone.

Cash: Accepted at our front counter, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Rates:

• Minimum charge is $162 for the first 10 lines.
• Each extra line above 10 is $12.20.
• If it is under 10 lines, the minimum fee of $162 applies.
• A second day run is $8.20 per line.
• Each photo published costs $125 per day.

Deadlines:

Make sure to submit on time for your obituary to appear on your desired date.

Memoriam Requests:

A memoriam differs from an obituary. It’s a special tribute to remember a loved one who has passed away. Rates differ and we encourage you to contact us for more details.
