Timothy believes that prom is a significant chapter in American culture. "People look back on their prom as a pivotal moment in their lives," he shared. “Without it, I can’t share those memories with my future kids. I wanted to give us all another shot at that nostalgia.”

The prom featured an exciting theme: “Casino Night.” Students enjoyed playing poker, roulette, and blackjack, all for fun prizes rather than cash. This unique twist kept the event lively and engaging. Meanwhile, a variety of delicious snacks—from cake pops to savory caprese kebabs—was available, funded by the $15 entry fee.

Planning the event wasn’t easy; it involved booking venues like the Dean Dome, which came with its own set of challenges. Vice President Imani Chabikuli collaborated closely with McLendon to make everything possible. Their hard work paid off, turning a dream into reality.
