Redice Entertainment, known for the popular webtoon “Solo Leveling,” is stepping into the international film arena. They are set to showcase their new projects at the upcoming European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin.
Among the titles they’re introducing are Sister and Killing Time, both currently finishing up in post-production.
Directed by Jin Sung-moon, Sister is a crime thriller featuring Jung Zi-so from Parasite, Lee Soo-hyuk from Pipeline, and Cha Joo-young from The Glory. The plot centers around complex dynamics between a hostage and two kidnappers, revealing unexpected relationships.
On the other hand, Killing Time is a horror-thriller that follows a YouTube crew, starring Ryu Hye-young and Nam Yun-su. They face a crisis when a team member dies during a live stream. In their quest to create sensational content for their comeback, strange figures begin to haunt them.
Redice has also made a mark by investing in The Cursed Land, a Thai horror film that premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival last year. This step showcases Redice’s ambition to broaden its horizons beyond South Korea. CEO Woogy Han signed an investment agreement in Bangkok with Kanogwan Watchara, the CEO of Neramitnung Film, breaking new ground for international collaborations.
At EFM, Redice will also present other projects like Samakdo, Veranda, The Go To Restaurant, and The Bus, which are all in post-production.
Samakdo, a horror-thriller, features Cho Yun-seo, Kwak Si-yang, and Yang Ju-ho. Meanwhile, Veranda is a thriller-drama starring Jeon So-min, Ji Seung-hyun, and Ha Su-ho.
