Remarkable Journey: Monmouth University Triplets Celebrate Graduation Together with Matching Degrees!

In West Long Branch, New Jersey, the Gruseke triplets, Michael, Caroline, and Daniel, have spent their entire 22 years together. Now, they are about to graduate from Monmouth University with degrees in Communications on May 15.

The bond between the siblings has always been strong. They even took classes together in college. “We had our little study group,” Caroline said, reflecting on their unique college experience. Growing up in Wilton, Connecticut, their childhood was filled with shared moments. “Being a triplet is special,” Michael shared. “I had not just one best friend but two.”

They supported one another in and out of school, sharing laughs, pranks, and countless memories. One prank involved swapping clothes to confuse classmates, a joke that teachers never caught on to. “My friend could tell us apart, but the teacher didn’t notice,” Daniel recalled, chuckling.

When it came time to choose a college, Michael was drawn to Monmouth for its small class sizes and friendly environment. Caroline initially sought independence at Elon University in North Carolina, wanting to break away from her brothers. However, a surprise visit changed everything. “I saw how much fun they were having,” she said. “After that, I transferred to Monmouth in my sophomore year.”

The decision allowed them to share friends and experiences again. Michael, who is passionate about sports and communications, led the way in choosing their major. Daniel switched from finance, a common career path for his family, to marketing after realizing it wasn’t for him. Caroline found her passion in public relations and journalism.

Looking ahead, all three siblings plan to search for jobs in the New York City and Stamford areas. They are open to working together, should the opportunity arise. “It’d be easier to create something together,” Michael noted.
