By 2006, Burke and his fellow band members had their contributions recognized when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, having sold over 42 million records. During their prime, Blondie produced eight Top 40 hits, including four that hit No. 1: “Heart of Glass,” “Call Me,” “The Tide Is High,” and “Rapture,” which was notable for being the first No. 1 song to feature rap.
In 2022, the band celebrated their legacy by releasing “Blondie: Against the Odds, 1974-1982,” a box set filled with previously unreleased tracks and demos. Burke reflected on this, saying it was amazing to revisit their archives and see how far they had come.
