Corey Parker, known for his roles in Will & Grace, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, and Love Boat: The Next Wave, has passed away at 60 after a battle with cancer. His family shared the news from Memphis, Tennessee.

Parker’s acting journey began at just four years old, as the son of actress Rocky Parker. His first credited role was in a 1983 episode of As the World Turns, followed by his film debut in 1984’s Scream for Help. He gained fame with his starring role in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning in 1985. He appeared in various movies, including 9 1/2 Weeks, Biloxi Blues, and The Rainmaker.
On television, Parker had notable roles in shows such as Thirtysomething, Eddie Dodd, and Flying Blind. He also made guest appearances in Nashville and participated in the revival of Love Boat.
In addition to acting, Parker was a dedicated acting coach, starting in 2000. He taught at esteemed institutions like Duke University and the University of Memphis. He even contributed his expertise to the 2022 Marvel series Ms. Marvel.
